Psychotherapists and coaches, there is no shortage of work these days. After all, many people find themselves in different situations of need, think about different things and then get stuck somewhere mentally or just have a long time.
Most of the time, those who call are those who have nothing lacking in the material world. They are women, with two children, married, a regular job… in short, everything seems to be fine.
But in reality these people are bored, their husbands do not talk to them, now they really cannot talk to anyone and are left alone. However, it can be seen that these are not really therapies, but only conversations. Conversations that they have never had with a partner, neither at the beginning nor on another day… except when he was at the bottom and broke at some point… the rest just lives a quiet, boring life, without depths, feelings and emotions… just for basic needs.
And when I look through those eyes, most of the customers I have had over the last 20 years were actually the most who just came to talk. As a result, many conversations shifted from the office to walks in nature, sports activities… and later they did not understand why they had to pay for these things. Although I reminded them that it was only active occupational therapy… and her reaction was odgovore, but we are not friends. No, we are not friends… we do therapy… and so I ended therapy.
Therapists live by “talking,” time and knowledge of talking is our only tool, and if we share that, we will devalue ourselves.

Even if our mission is to help people in need, we are simply people who also need our lives. There may be fewer customers now, but there will be more lives.
